Quick portraits of the Price family...

You know those friends that you don't necessarily see very often, but you know everything's cool, and when you do catch up it's just like the old times?  Well that's Ben.  Ben and I spent a lot of time together when were younger, and some of best time was actually spent in Art class from the age of 14 to 18.  Lazy days in the art department with glimpses of real creativity are some of my fondest school memories, and it's funny because at that time I actually painted some portraits of Ben for a final exam project, but little did I know that 15 years later (with not too much contact in between) that I would be painting portraits of him and his family.

Ben and his wife (to be) Danielle reached out to me recently and asked if I could do a portrait of each of the family members as they'd been really enjoying my recent work that they'd seen online.  I was honoured that they liked my art so much and jumped at the chance for a new challenge. I've stuck to my recent style of very quick paintings on paper where things never turn out perfect, but they have their own charm.

Ben, Danielle, Noah and Arlo really are the perfect family - Extremely creative, fun, honest and genuinely good people & I hope that they like how the paintings turned out (and at least recognise themselves a bit!)  I'll deliver them in person next time I'm in Belfast...
